The right procurement software for ecommerce depends on where the goods go and which systems own the records. Replenishing a warehouse, buying for a customer shipment and keeping stock synchronized across channels are different jobs. Define those flows before comparing applications.

We make LineNow. This documentation-based shortlist groups options by operating need; it is not an independent ranking. Sources were checked September 4, 2026. The evaluation scenarios are illustrative and do not establish measured outcomes for any vendor.

Match the shortlist to the operating model

Stocked ecommerce: a supplier delivers to your warehouse or 3PL. Define who enters the physical receipt and which application updates available stock. A supplier confirmation is incoming stock, not proof that goods are available to sell.

Dropshipping through your own suppliers: the supplier delivers directly to the customer. Retain customer selections, destination, tracking and unresolved lines. A supplier shipment should not also add stock to your warehouse. Use the dropship workflow and dropship procurement guide.

Multiple sales channels: define how demand, reservations and availability are combined. A single-channel connector may be sufficient for one business and incomplete for another. Require the actual channels, editions and update directions in the proposed setup.

A broader warehouse or ERP project: count location operations, costing, production and financial requirements explicitly. The ecommerce inventory guide and ERP boundary guide help define the owners.

LineNow: supplier execution for the buying team

LineNow's Shopify purchasing workflow connects the buying record to supplier packs, messages, reviewed changes, receiving and invoice context. Its living purchase order keeps that context attached as the agreement changes.

Evaluate the exact item, supplier, location and channel mappings, including any warehouse or accounting handoff. Do not assume every marketplace, ERP object or external supplier portal is supported by a general integration claim. Production scheduling, advanced warehouse operations and accounting policy remain separate requirements to scope.

The Living Fit story describes one customer's supplier-routing workflow with custom order details. It is relevant experience for a dropship evaluation, not evidence of a universal advantage over another application.

Prediko and Inventory Planner: planning plus purchasing

Prediko describes planning alongside purchase-order creation, tracking and supplier communication. Inventory Planner describes forecasting, purchasing, retail analytics and open-to-buy planning. Both deserve an evaluation that goes beyond a forecast chart. Prediko purchase orders, Inventory Planner.

Use a seasonal item, a stable seller and an item with intermittent demand. Inspect the inputs, current stock, incoming orders, constraints and proposed purchase. Then move one inbound delivery outside the planning window and ask the buyer to explain the revised decision. Forecast quality should be measured with a common historical cutoff and operating outcomes, not inferred from the algorithm's name.

Sumtracker: channel and bundle inventory

Sumtracker describes inventory synchronization, bundles, forecasting and purchasing. Include it when one component is sold individually and within several bundles or across channels. Sumtracker.

Test a bundle sale, a damaged-component return and a receipt of supplier cases. The component stock should remain understandable in each case. Verify which system owns the physical receipt before connecting another purchasing application.

Auto Purchase Orders: Shopify-to-supplier order automation

The Shopify listing describes supplier mapping, POs generated from customer orders, incoming stock, receiving and accounting connections. Auto Purchase Orders.

Test one customer order split across suppliers, including custom selections and shipping instructions. Forward a revision and demonstrate how it relates to the existing PO. Check plan-specific connector behavior and whether a stock receipt or a direct shipment is the correct event for the order.

Cin7, Zoho Inventory and inFlow: inventory operations

Cin7 presents connected suppliers, warehouses and channels. Zoho Inventory presents inventory and order management with items, assemblies and purchasing. inFlow documents purchase creation and receiving. These are meaningful purchasing candidates when inventory operations are a substantial part of the project. Cin7, Zoho Inventory, inFlow purchase-order documentation.

Select the relevant edition and configuration before comparing features. Have warehouse users perform the real receiving process. Inspect transfers, reservations, pack conversions, returns and the accounting objects the implementation will use. A broader inventory system can be the correct choice; its setup effort and benefit should be established in the actual project.

Run one mixed-channel purchase without duplicating stock

Use an illustrative product with 30 usable units at the warehouse, ten already reserved for wholesale and 20 confirmed incoming before the next delivery requirement. Forecast additional customer demand of 50 units over the same period. Before buffers and pack rounding, the uncovered requirement is ten units: 50 minus 20 unreserved on-hand minus 20 on-time incoming.

Then run these changes:

  1. Delay: move the incoming 20 past the required date and inspect the new shortage.
  2. Purchase pack: order in packs of 12 and show any surplus created by rounding.
  3. Supplier change: receive a different pack proposal and require review before changing the expected unit count.
  4. Receipt: receive only the accepted quantity into the warehouse or 3PL record once.
  5. Direct shipment: fulfill a separate customer order through a supplier without adding warehouse stock.
  6. Recovery: retry a failed channel or accounting update and confirm the existing destination record is recognized.

A successful test ends with the buyer, warehouse and finance team explaining the same quantities. Measure manual corrections and unresolved exceptions alongside task time.

Compare the complete operating cost

Request current terms for the required stores, channels, locations, users, transaction limits, connectors, migration, training and support. Include the effort to maintain item mappings and troubleshoot failed updates. See current LineNow pricing for its offer and obtain the same scope from the other finalists.

For a Shopify-specific decision, use the Shopify shortlist. For forecasting and replenishment, use the replenishment evaluation. Choose the process that your actual operating team can run reliably.
